Are Shadowhunters a valid answer? LOL. Just kidding. Well I have to agree with Rachel @Parajunkee on this one. Most supernatural beings/creatures are just really scary. So yeah, mermaids are pretty cool. Vampires, well. I don't want Twilight to become real, and have people like Renesme drown out our population. And faeries, please. No. I hate them. Werewolves. No. What else. I can't think right now. Therefore, mermaids are my set answer right now.
